Cotter Pins
We offer a wide variety of cotter pins which are available in various materials and finishes including MS24665 cotter pins, MS9245 cotter pins, BACP18BC cotter pins, commercial grade cotter pins made to ASTM specifications, metric cotter pins wedge-fast cotter pins and cotter pin assortments. We stock many styles and finishes as well as offer custom configurations that are available upon request. Contact us for details.
Standard and commercial grade cotter pin styles:
- Extended prong cotter pins - choose from chisel point or square cut, with diameters from 1/32" through 1"
- Hammerlock cotter pins - made for castellated nuts for fast, accurate assembly, hammerlock cotter pins are available in diameters of 1/16" through 3/8". Diameters of 9/64" are available upon request

- Even end, chisel point cotter pins
- Humped cotter pins - available in diameters of 1/16" through 1/4"
- Self-locking cotter pins - ideal for use where spreading space is limited, self-locking cotter pins are available in diameters up to and including 5/16"
- Taper point cotter pins with an extended prong - available in diameters of 3/32" through 3/8", these pins align assemblies for easy insertion
- Tee head cotter pins
- Taper point, even end cotter pins
D Rings
Our standard D rings are available in wire diameters from 0.80" through 0.177" and can be made with a variety of finishes such as plain, zinc, nickel, brass, and stainless.

- Pear clips - available from 0.080" diameter wire

Hitch Pin Clips
Hitch pin clips are an economical fastener that can be used for a single application or reused multiple times. Their most common purpose is to fasten the ends of either hitch pins or clevis pins to provide a strong, secure connection. Hitch pin clips are also known as hairpin cotters, bridge pins, r-keys, r-clips, or presto pins.
Western Wire offers both internal and external hitch pin clips, both of which we stock in a large variety of sizes and finishes as well as double loop hitch pin clips for extra tension when needed. Most hitch pin products are manufactured from MB spring wire, but can also be produced from various types of stainless steel.

S Hooks
S hooks are commonly used to hang items and are frequently used in industrial, commercial, or personal applications. Our standard S hooks are available from wire diameters of 0.080" through 0.375" with various finishes.
In addition to our standard S hooks we are happy to quote your custom S hook requirements and projects
S Irons
Similar to S hooks, we also offer S irons. S Irons are excellent as an anti-checking device for ties and timbers. They are specially designed to prolong tie and timber life by retarding cracking and splitting.
S irons are also commonly used in logging prior to preserve the logs during transportation before they are processed at a sawmill.
Hill Patterned Hog Rings
We offer three standard sizes of hill patterned hog rings, # 1 Pig, #2 Shoat, and #3 Hog. All products are made from 13 gauge galvanced or 12 1-1/2" gauge that's copper coated with opening sizes varying from 5/8" to 7/8".
Our hog rings are available in both standard pack and bulk pack quantities.

Spring Pins
Spring pins are a great general use fastener that you may also know as roll pins, split pins, tension pins, or C-pins. They are hollow, cylindrical tubes with a lengthwise slot from end to end that allows for compression on the solid side of the pin that makes them easier to install.
